Personnel applying for work within cleaning and catering, members of first aid teams on fixed or mobile installations, first responders and MOB-crew aboard stand-by vessels.
The course provides the necessary training to be able to give life-saving first aid in the event of serious injury or illness, and to assist the nurse in examining and treating patients. Learn how to conduct yourself in an accident or emergency. The use of a defibrillator and other medical equipment is demonstrated. The course also includes theoretical and practical training in emergency response and organisation, general first aid, patient examination, unconsciousness, bleeding and traumatic amputations, abdominal injuries, circulatory failure, head and spinal injuries, burns and corrosive injuries, fractures, measurement of blood pressure, chest pain (cardiac illness), breathing difficulties and seizures, lifelessness – Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, assisting nurse in administering infusion, hypothermia, mental reactions and stress management, triage, thoracic injuries.
